The LGU intends to add an allowed area of operation wherein if a bike or EKS wents out of the area, it will lock safely and securely. It is needed due to preventing the risk of theft.
The software displays real-time data on bike/EKS locations. The software also gathers mobility information in terms of GPS location, an environment like temperature, humidity, air quality which can be used for research.
The LGU also announced that there will be an app that the user can use to lock/unlock the e-scooter. You have to be registered in the system to do so.
A demo was presented of the said app. It uses Geofencing to track data.
